Baby Massage Courses

Learning to massage your baby is a wonderful gift for you and your baby and provides an excellent opportunity to meet with other parents and share experiences. Nurturing touch is an excellent way to stimulate your baby's development. Soothing your baby, discover innovative ways of effectively dealing with colic and teething pains. The techniques taught, help parents and babies to establish even closer bonds. Parents are welcome to bring their baby to the class, and dolls will also be provided for practise if appropriate. Mothers, fathers and other interested caregivers are also welcome, as are mothers-to-be.

The course will be taught by an experienced massage therapist and a certified instructor with the International Association of Infant Massage. The mission statement of the International Association for Infant Massage is "to promote nurturing touch and communication through training, education and research so that parents, caregivers and children are loved, valued and respected throughout the world community".

Anybody who wants to know more information is welcome to contact us, (ask for Jane Jamieson) on 0131 669 7533. It may be possible to set up a group in your area. In order to learn the techniques it is usually best to allow 5 classes of 1.5 hours duration.
