Stillness Massage

The possibility of creating an even deeper state of relaxation can be obtained with a stillness massage. This type of massage is focussed on creating stillness in the body and the nervous system. The stillness is felt as if the body is almost falling asleep and a deep deep state of relaxation is achieved. After completion of the massage a minimum of 15 minutes of recovery time is allowed to bring the body back to full conscious awareness. During this 15 minute recovery time a period of reorganisation takes place in the brain which allows deep focussed concentration on any problem that maybe in your life at present. The state of relaxation that is achieved during this stillness massage is akin to meditating, the person may achieve an "AHA!" moment, or they may experience a deep state of peace and inner stillness, that they haven’t felt for a long time.

When I had my last stillness massage it reminded me of the deep sense of peace and stillness that I used to experience as a child, lying in warm meadows, watching the clouds drift past. It is a very useful tool for bringing some perspective back into problems you may be facing.
